i miss this type of drumcorps
2:16 😮💨😮💨😮💨
0:21 😫😫
Why does this break my heart to watch now? 😢
It’ll never be duplicated.
Because DCI lost it's masculinity. Now it's all just broadway gayness.
@@Taanstafl12that’s not even very true though. my show this year (hawthorne caballeros), we were hauling ass around the field the entire time. the colts also had some awesome drill this year. same with the bluecoats. like people still are doing drill, just not as crazy fast as cadets closers. but to basically imply that the activity has lost its “masculinity” and is all “gayness” is just wrong
Here after the cadets folded for good. RIP Cadets.
Every corps is doing a Cadets tribute and be lucky if you find it.
Simultaneous responsibility.....brought to another level!!!!
Things looking a little sus around 0:42
KIDS NOWADAYS WOULD BE UNALIVED BY THE END OF THIS.😂
Why can’t drill be this fast no more.
Props. And lack of inspiration.
@@markwilson5608 No it's not props. Props have been around since the 80's. They're too hyper focused on making everything as clean and as perfect as possible rather than challenging the members. The judges don't reward it.
Because practicing at that level of intensity is probably considered a human rights violation by current gen standards
Cadets 2015
Holy hell. I can’t believe I’ve never seen this before. Wow!
Amazing..... The amount of practice it takes to get that drill down to perfection is mind boggling. Being a Jersey Boy from back in the Garfield days, you just got to love this.
UNBELIEVABLE! But there it is in plain sight AND sound! Props!
Fucking chills
They're so smoooth on the field!
Nobody dares to march like this today, it's all watered down to LOOK fast but nobody has hauled like in a whole closer at 190bpm since 08. This was next level and I never realized how hard that was until all these years later. Just WHOA
Cadets 2018 closer stayed around 208-216 the whole way through. Drill was hard as anything but wasn't quite as iconic as this. Actually, aside from the ballad the whole show was 180+ and hauling ass.
@@jarhead1934 Check out their 1993 show for a better version. That one IS iconic.
buddy has never watched crown 2012
@@fortuneia Oh I've seen it, one of my favorite shows. Being geometric and clean is great, but Crown wasn't literally running 4-10 at 190bpm like this for a sustained closer. The cadets horns were struggling with how long their steps were, you can hear it. Crown's writers are tactical and they keep the harder licks on shorter distances so the sound quality doesn't distort with long steps. The Cadets said who cares, RUN lol.
Uh, no. Cadets 2015 was over 200 bpms
Jesus christ man. The amount of talent on that field should not be legal
I've watched this a dozen times today... and gotten chill bumps every time... absolutely amazing!!
wow!!!!@
This drill is amazing
seeing this live my rookie year was a real treat. they were moving!!! I remember housing with them after a show one summer. hearing the met going off at around 220 at least lol when they were repping that section for the show that night.
It just keeps going and going and going! And then that little tag oh baby!
I never understood the inclusion of that tag at the end....so anticlimactic. They should have ended with the power chord.
probably the most quality audio ive heard on any recording of any show
Miss the days of crazy drill like this from the Cadets.
Hate to be a remember the good old days person because I am not even 30 yet, but man seeing drill like this is absolutely insane. You won't see many corps doing this because there is no reward anymore. YOu just stand on your props on the front sideline these days.
I don't think you're giving enough credit to how difficult the involved choreography of today is physically.
@@declandougan7243 Yes I agree that there is still demand. Just from a drill perspective I don't think you can deny that overall there is less.
@@Lacheddar1990 I hope the 2020s see a new balance in drill and choreo demand achieved like we’ve seen with a couple shows (Babylon).
Great year for DCI. I marched spirit in 08 and we had a lot of shows with the cadets. Enjoyed this live throughout the summer.
I had forgotten how well that corps marched and played. Amazing talent.
This was a polarizing show for me. Most of the show is poorly designed in LARGE part due to a certain director who had to have his way with narration, which to me was nauseating and did nothing but destroy the mood of the show. Too bad, because this corps could march and play as well as any corps out there that year. BD was cleaner, and Phantom had the best overall show (one of the best I've ever seen), but the Cadets members were sold short by their director. The sheer physicality of the ending of this show, the marching excellence, the demand in music ensemble is literally mind blowing. I was thrilled they fixed the ending and at least let the crowd experience the excellence of this corps. No corps should gripe about being top 5. That is an honor for any corps, but this particular Cadets corps was better than top 5.
Best mellos in DCI every year!!!
Cadets '92: To Tame the Perilous Skies. 🛩️
Frickin' crazy!!!!!!!!!!
Kids saw the drill and said WTF?
Could I hear this segment on G bugles? :)
OMG!!!!
I miss drill
I miss uniforms…and hats
don't we all
@@ianzalamea1457 Was just watching your head cam videos. You had more than your fair share of drill this summer. It was wonderful to see. (P.S. - I'm the tie dye guy)
@@stuartcarter6922 thank you so much! It was definitely a lot of fun lol
Put a shirt on
WAIT A MINUTE........!!!!!!! Isn’t this song from F(x)?.... WAIT WHAT THAAAAA......!, I swear I heard f(x) singing this song.😭😭
10 years ago... we're so old now.
Its 2018 and i still get chills with this ending.
Same and in 2023
How are they that loud
Low brass is amazing
Wow that ending is emotional. And wow I bet they were exhausted at the end of this.
Feet were so clean. One of my favorite shows.
Another amazing corps and ensemble ruined by poor concept.
What do you mean?
Joe Cantina the cadets have a bad habit of Performing bad shows really really well
Cladiax true that. they’ve done shows about literally everything ranging from doors to Christmas. without hopkins who knows what they’ll come up with next year.
was so disappointed when I watched this show. Such great drill for a great corps, performing such a boring and unsatisfying show. Really? Voiceovers? Nobody wants to hear narration for 10 mins geez.
Funny you mentioned 2005 and 2012, I absolutely love those shows. And 2005 happens to be my 2nd fav of all time. Also scoring a 99.15 and sweeping every caption
Yo what they are playing at Dartmouth middle school 😂😂
marching in 9/8!!!!! holy crap!
not just 9/8, keep in mind in the music it says (Count as so: 1+2+1+2+1+2+3+1+2)
difficulty 📈📈📈📈
Like if Promise nye makeup video got you here. BoA Energetic song&video will always be #1 Favorite!
Horn line throw down at the hold then it's haul ass til the end! Nice job Cadets!
Hi, nice work! Can I ask where find the italian viseme?
she's really funny ~ keke cool !
How that perc judge is alive we'll never know
@Stimulator7 Jeff Prosperie running around on the field
he must have traveled to another dimension
Jeff loves getting in these forms. Can do that now
